After tea a public meeting was hold, the pastor presiding. A letter was road from the Rev. T. W. Smyth, regretting his inability to be present. Addresses were delivered by the Revs. Blake, Dallaston and Cato, and Messrs Fittall, Marriner and Powell. During the evening the choir of the Oxford terrace Baptist Church sang a number of Sankey’s hymns, under the able leadership of Mr Corrick. The meeting, which was a most successful one, was brought to a close by the chairman pronouncing the benediction.
