Legal points having heen raised in connection with the conviction of the bushranger Wells, the Governor has granted a respite of his death sentence until the 22nd inst. The Queensland LoanThe Queensland Rational Bank has received a telegram from London to the effect that the floating of the proposed Queensland loan has been postponed until after the forthcoming general election in England, as it is feared the excitement attending the same might endanger the success of the loan. SYDNEY, March 15. French. Occupation of Tonquin. The steamship Normanby ariived from Cooktown on Saturday.
