NATIVE LAND COURT, KAIAPOI.

-A. session of this Court wa3 opened in the R.M.'s Courthouse yesterday, his Honor Judge Symonds presiding. Hoani Tapuoa, native assessor, and Mr E. Hammond, interpreter, were present, and Mr G-. F. Hewlicgs acted as clerk to the Court. Hone Paratene made application for an adjournment till the arrival of one of the principal claimants, Taire, and the Rev. J. W. Stack, could attend as interpreter. Rev. Teoti Pita Mutu objected to the adjournment as unfair to the large number of natives who had come from a distance, and said there was no valid reason for the application of Paratene. His Honor stated that it was requisite to obtain a list of the persons claiming to be heard, which had not come to hand, and such being the case an adjournment would be made till 10 a.m. to-day.
