THEATRE ROYAL.

“ The Octoroon ” was performed at the Theatre Eoyal on Saturday, and drew a very fair houee. Mr Hoskins resumed his favorite character of Salem Scudder, which he performed in his usual excellent manner. Mias Florence Colville appeared to great advantage as Zoe, investing the part with a great deal of pathos and tenderness. The role of Jacob MoOlosky received full justice at Mr Boothman, and Mr Alexander was a very effective Wahnotee. He was complimented with a special call at the end of the second act. Miss Maude Vincent played little Paul very nicely and naturally, and Mr J. P. Hydes was an exceptionally diverting Uncle Pete. The rest of the company, one and all, contributed to the success of the piece, which will be repeated this evening.
