[beuter’s telegrams.] LONDON, March 2. The Wool Sales. At the wool sales to-day 8400 bales were offered, making a total of 125,600 bales catalogued since the opening. The market to-day was firm, and there was an active demand for all descriptions. Prices have further advanced Ogd to Id all round. The Money Market. The 3 per cent. Consols are unchanged at 97f. The 5 per cent New Zealand loan is at 102. The 4|- New Zealand loan is at 96^. The Wheat Market. Adelaide wheat has declined one shilling, and is now quoted at 59s per 4961h5, ex warehouse. LONDON, March 1. Wheat and Wool. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1,790,000 quarters. The new series of wool sales will com. mence on April 20th, and there will probably be a total of 340,000 bales to be auctioned. March 2. Central Asia. With reference to the statements made last month that Persia proposed to occupy the Province of Sistan, on the borders of Afghanistan, it now transpires that Persia has abandoned her intended expedition into the province. It is further partially confirmed that the British Government will not permit Persia to occupy Herat. Pure Bred Stock. Two very valuable pure bred bulls have been purchased at Oxford by Mr, W. McCulloch, for shipment to Australia. CONSTANTINOPLE, March 2. Attempts on Lives of Russian Officials. The recent attempt on the lives of the Russian officials connected with the Embassy at Stamboul is proved to have been without political significance. ST. PETERSBURG, March 2. A Silver Accession Day.

There have been great festivities in this city to-day in honor of the twentyfifth anniversary of the accession of the Czar to the throne, and great enthusiasm has been displayed by the people. The Czar has received a letter from the Emperor of Germany containing congratulations and expressions of life-long friendship.
