RANGIORA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
A meeting of this committee was held on Wednesday evening, the 25th ult. Present —All the members. Letters were read Prom the Board of Education, stating the application for an addition to school buildings would be considered, Erom chairman North Loburn School Committee, advising co-operation in bringing about a new division of districts for return of members of the Board of Education. The chairman reported the want of a pupil teacher in the infants' room, and that Miss Johnston had received the appointment. The matter provoked on unprofitable discussion. The head master reported that since the holidays the attendance of children had been somewhat irregular. It was decided to vote only for Mr A. H. Cunningham as a member of the Board of Education. It was resolved to put in force the compulsory attendance clauses of the Education Act. The meeting then adjourned. _____
