The following ten candidates have gained Junior University Scholarships, of the value of £45 per annum, tenable for three years, at the examination which was held in the months of December and January just past:—l, Joseph. Grossmann, Christ's College, Christchurch; 2, Louis Cohen, private tuition, Christchurch ; 3, Janette Grossmann, Girls' High School, Christchurch; 4, Henry Bache Harvey, Wellington College; 5, Peter Alexander Lindsay, High School, Dunedin ; 6, Henry Brereton Marriott Watson, Christ's College, Christchurch; 7, Henry Thomas Purchas, Christ's College, Christchurch; 8, Robert Francis Irvine, West Christchurch school; 9, Henry Cross, private tuition, Christohurch ; 10, William Hughes Eield, Wellington College. The list of successful candidates for matriculation will be published in a day or two.
