[eetjtbk's telegrams.] MELBOURNE, February 18. Mr Berry on the Situation. Mr. Berry states he believes the result of his appeal will be the return of a smaller but more united Liberal majority. Export of FlourSeventy thousand bags of flour were exported from Melbourne to London in the last fortnight. [MELBOTTKNE " ARGUS " SPECIAL.] MELBOURNE, February 18. The Wool Season. The wool season has closed. 126,000 bales were sold in Melbourne, valued at £2,500,000. Goldsbrough estimates the yield of Australian, Tasmanian, and New Zealand wool to be in excess of last year by 40,000 bales. Oats. New Zealand oats are very heavy; Yictorian are fetching from Is 8d to 2s 6d per bushel. Advance in Wool. A private cable states that the February wool sales opened at an advance of 12£ to 15 per cent, with a very active demand.
