[reuter's telegrams.] LONDON, February 17. ShippingArrived —Mallsgate, from Adelaide, November 4th. The steamship Ohimborazo has sailed. A small portion of her cargo, -which was damaged, had to be left behind. The Wool Sales. At the wool auctions during the past week 8031 bales have been catalogued, Australian realising 10 per cent, advance. There was a large attendance of home and foreign buyers. [MELBOURNE "ARGUS" SPECIAL.] LONDON, February 17. The Wool Sales. The wool sales have commenced. There was a large attendance, and keen competition, though care preponderated. Twenty-two thousand bales were purchased for Yorkshire and the Continent. Prices show an average advance of to 2d per lb. on scoured and greasy respectively.
