Inqukst. —An inquest was held at Waikiri, on Monday, on the body of the young man who was drowned in the Waikari on the pr< ■ ceding day. Dr. Morris, of Amberley, acted as coroner. After hearing the evidence of the lad who accompanied Atcliffe on Sunday morning, and that of Mclntosh, the man who first arrived on the scene of the accident, the jury returned a verdict of “ Accidental Drowning.”
