LYTTELTON YOUNG MEN'S ASSOCIATION.
After an interval of two months this society again commenced proceedings on Friday last at the Wesleyan schoolroom. There was a fair attendance of members, the Rev. W. H. Beck, president, in the chair. The reports of various committees were received, and that of the treasurer (Mr R. Dunlop) showed that the society was in a flourishing condition, having a credit balance of £l3 16s Bd. The revised rules presented elicited a considerable amount of discussion, and were, with a few alterations, adopted. The election of officers, <tc, resulted as follows—President, Rsv. W. BT. Beck ; vice-president, Mr S. R. Webb; secretary, Mr James Malcolmson, jun.; treasurer, Mr R. Dunlop ; managing committee, Messrs T. L. Smith, J. Pitcaithly, T. Fogarty, P. Childs. Messrs Hillsden, Willmot, and Btitten were proposed for membership. After fixing the business for Wednesday next the proceedings closed. The society now has a membership of about fifty.
