THE DRUIDS.

The usual fortnightly meeting of. tha Pioneer Ledge wag held at their lodgeroom, Wellington Hotel, last evening. After some business had been transacted, Bro. Oppenheim, D P., presented Bro. P. B. Books, as D.B. of the Order, with a jewel, made by Mr EiveD, -jeweller, of Christchurch, in a few appropriate words, which was duly responded to. A.D. Bro. Samuels, with a few well-chosen remarks presented Bro. G-illett with a gold locket in recognition of his services in reference to the by-law committee, to which he duly responded. It was decided by division to hold a special summoned meeting on March Ist. Bro. Mor lock was elected O.G-. Three numbers were proposed for initiation, after which the Lodge cljsed in due form.
