THE VOLUNTEER REVIEW.
The volunteer review committee met a deputation from the hotel-keepers last evening at Morton’s Hotel, to hear what accommodation they could find for volunteers at the Easter review. Mr Morton, on behalf of the hotel-keepers, said ihey were prepared to cater for the volunteers at the price named by the committee, and likewise to subscribe liberally to their fund, butithey were not in a position to find sleeping accommodation, owing to the race meeting being held at the same time and a large number of visitors requiring rooms. After some conversation, it was decided to adjourn the meeting till Friday next, at the same time ard place, and, in the meantime, to make enquirieo and find out what can be done in the way of deeping accommodation.
