The “Spectator” warns England against the violent diatribes levelled by the “ Times” Melbourne correspondent against the Victorian Government. Ho considers the nominee principle would concede all the power that it would bo legitimate to demand. The “ Saturday Review” considers that the present power of the Council needs modification. It regrets that the Council has not exhibited moderation.
