ELLESMERE AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the general committee was held at Spring’s-Leesicn Hotel on Friday, the 28-li November, 1879. Present —Messrs O. T* Dudley (in the chair), Job Osborne, W« Maddison, Chas. Bourn, J. McKellar, J. Ronnis, B. Lockheed, the secretary, and. others. The chairman congratulated the committee on the success which had attended their efforts os far as the show was concerned* and apologised for the absence of the treasurer. * The secretary read an approximate balance sheet, showing the amount available for prizes. The outside liabilities amounted to £29 12s. It waa resolved that prizes should be awarded of the same valuo ao in the previous year. The prizs money being disproportionate to the entry fees, it was datertermined to revise the schedule of premiums another year. The secretary was requested to write to donors of special prizes and members who had not paid their annual subscriptions* requesting them to settle as scon as possible. Messrs E. Lockhead and A. Cameron were appointed to audit the treasurer’s books before the next annual meeting. On the motion of Mr E. Lockheed, seconded by Mr Maddieon, the pay sheet, including all the accounts for the year, was passed for payment. The protest committee reported that the only protest which had boon received had been allowed, and the deposit returned to protester. A vote of thanks having been passed, fcO the Bhairman, the meeting adjourned.
