MASONIC INSTALLATIONS.

The installation of the W.M. and officers of the Canterbury Kilwinning Lodge, No. 585 S.C., Lyttelton, took place on Friday night. Among the visitors present were Past-masters Booth, Fleming, Joyce, and the Rev. James Hill, and members from the Thistle Lodge, Ashburton, and Bobort Burns Lodge, Christchurch. The following brethren were duly installed to hold office for the ensuing year— Thomas J. Gieen, W.M.; W. Graham, D.M.; James Grubb, S.M.; W. Smith, S.W.; S. David, J.W.; J. Grubb, treasurer; J. L. Oarrell, non. sec.; Coote, S.D.; Elmes, J.D.; T. Angus, S.S.; M. Miller, J.B ; O. Bumip, 1.G.; and B. Findlay, tyler. The installation was followed by an adjournment for refreshments, and a pleasant evening was spent in giving and responding to the usual toasts. The installation of tlio officers of the Lodge Eobert Burns, No. 601, S.C., for the ensuing year was held in the St. Augustine Hall last night, in the presence of a large number of the brethren and visitors from sister lodges. Bro. H. Thomson, D.D.G.M., E. 0., officiated as insi ailing master, assisted by P.M.’sßros. Joyce, J L. Fleming, Christie, and Farrell, when the following officers were installed: —Bro. Geo.
