POST OFFICE NOTICES.

Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to necessary alterations) as under :

MONDAY, DECEMBER 1. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian colonies, per Claud Hamilton, at 11,15 a.m,; late fee letters, 11.25 a.m.; guard’s van, 15.10 p.m. train.

Note —Correspondence for Anetralia, intended for dispatch by the Claud Hamilton, musi be endorsed to that effect.

For Otago, per Penguin, at 12,45 p.m,: late fee letters, 1 p.m.; guard’s van, 1.25 p.m. train. THURSDAY, DEC. 4. For Australian Colonies, per Express train to Port Chalmers (to connect with s.s. Botomahana), at 7.30 a.m.

The next mail for the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, &c., via Ban Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on the sth December. This mail is due in London on the 20th January, 1880.

The next mail for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these rentes only), will be closed at Christchurch on December 17th. The mail via Brindisi will ho due in London on February 9th, and the mail via Southampton on February 16th, 1880. Notice —On and after Ist December, the Postoffice, Duvauchello, at the head of the Akaroa Harbor, will he open tor the transaction of moneyorder and savings bank business. SYDNEY J. DICK.
