POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to necessary alterations) as under : SATUBDAY, NOVEMBER 29. For Otago, per Botomahana, at 1.50 p.m.: late fee letters. 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Kaikonra, per Haia, at 4.45 p.m. The guard's van must not be used for this mail. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 7 p.m. The sruard's van must not lie used for this mail. MONDAY, DECEMBER 1. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian colonies, per Claud Hamilton, at 11.15 a.m. j late fee letters, 11.25 a.m. j guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. . Note —Correspondence for Australia, intended for dispatch by the Claud Hamilton, must be endorsed to that effect. The next mail for the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and Amerioa, &c, via San Franoisoo, will be closed at Cbristohuroh on the sth December. This mail is due in London on the 20th January, 1880. The next mail for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), will be closed at Christchuroh on December 17th. _ , The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on February 9th, and the mail via Southampton on February 16th, 1880. Notice—On and after Ist December, the Postoffice, Duvauchelle, at the head of the Akaroa Harbor, will be open for the transaction of moneyorder and savings bank business. SYDNEY J.
