Penguin, to sail to-night north, arrived from Dunedin this morning. The s.s. Oreti arrived this morning to sail for Manntan via -way porta to-day. The Governor’s Bay steamer launch Eclipse will not run on Monday or Tuesday next. The Waitangi was taking in wool yesterday. She has about 2300 bales on board, besides other cargo. The Union Company’s steamers Penguin, and Hawea are duo here to-day. The Penguin proceeds to Wellington, the East Coast ports, and Auckland to-night. # The Government steamer Hinemoa, Captain Fairchild, leaves here about half-past ono to-day for Wellington, via Aknroa, taking his Excellency the Governor and suite. The barqne Antares, Captain Lewis, signalled on Thursday night, came up the harbor yesterday morning from Newcastle, after a good run of nine days. She left there November 4th, made Stephens* Island Nov. 12th, and had moderate and light winds down the coast. The Antares, it may be remembered, left here about the middle of last January for London, whore she loaded for Dunedin; from the latter port she went up to Newcastle in ballast for the cargo with which she arrived yesterday. Her agents are Messrs Dalgety and Co.
