THE COMING FORTY-EIGHT HOURS TOURNAMENT.
[“Sydney Town and Country.”] It would appear by the number in training that there will be a full muster of athletes at the coming forty-eight hour tournament. Edwards has, it seems, discarded his late trainer, Wooller, who advertised recently that he was willing to take the training of a couple or so of intending competitors in the forthcoming contest, and judging by the way he attended to Edwards, anyone giving him a trial will meet with satisfaction. Edwards is attending on himself, with another or so under his care; while his late opponent, Taylor, is under the care of the well-known trainer, Tom Struttles, and is progressing favorably. Amongst others there hi a new arrival from Scotland entered the lists ; and also that Fred Woodhouse, of Victoria, and a well-known walker from New Zealand will put in an appearance, so that it will bo a regular international affair*
