TRAINING NOTES. [By Sinbad] Monday morning was very fine, and a fai.' amount of work was done, of which the following is a brief resume. Natator cantered by himself. Sir Modred and Fable went a good striding gallop, once round. Mata was restricted to walking exorcise. The Waimea colt, Oberon, and Atlantic cantered half a mile, then the two latter were stripped, and went a mile and a-half steady. The colt looks very well, and moves in capital form, attracting many admirers. Numa went a good strong gallop, twice round. Romeo and Silverstream were sent a sharp half-mile together. Laertes and Luna did a mile and a-balf steadily, To Whetu keeping them company for a part of £he distance. York did a slow two miles on the plough. Soukar went a short spin with Tim Whiffier and was then sent a fast gallop once round the grass, finishing Jwith Bide-a-wee. Lone Hand, Hornby, and Templeton went about two miles at a good pace ; Ray, on Lone Hand, shepherding the Derby oolt, who is very lazy in his work. Maid of Honor did slow work. The Agent went twice round the plough, at a slow pace. Titania did a very fast gallop of a mile and a-half by herself. Robin Hood, stripped, was sent three miles steady. Midge cantered. , Edward James, Windsor, and the Lady Florence colt were jumped off twice for short fast gallops, the two youngsters going well. The Tantrums filly, with rugs on, was sent a long gallop on the plough, and Betrayer and Daisy cantered a mile and a-balf. Mr Walters’ team were all sweated after breakfast. THE METROPOLITAN MEETING.
