THE CITY GUARDS.
A match was fired this morning at Cashmere range, between Sub-Lieut. Francis’ team and Lieut. Wolfe’s team. The conditions were—Seven men to be chosen from each team that fired in the match last week. Ranges 200 and 400 yards, five shots at each range, position any, the losing team to pay all expenses. The following score will show that the match was a very close one. At the end of the first range Lieut. Wolfe’s team led by one point, which it held with some difficulty till the finish, only winning the match by one point:—
