FORRESTRY.

The quarterly meeting of the Widow and Orphan Fund of this Order was held in the Foresters’ Hall last night,' President, Bro. S. Bath in the chair. Twenty-five members were present during the evening. The revised by-laws were received from the printers, and distributed to the members. The secretary, Bro. H. Crooks, read a report from the entertainment committee, and the treasurer, Bro. Davis, handed over the sum of £l9 18s profit from the last entertainment. Also a donation from Bro. W. Sparks of £4. Bro. Crooks also stated that the Widow and Orphan Fund was in possession of a good wardrobe. A vote of thanks was accorded to the ladies and gentlemen (not Foresters) for their assistance at the entertainment in the' Oddfellows’ Hall. Bro. W. S. Sparks was presented with a certificate, as an honorary member, as a recognition of his valuable services as stage manager to the Foresters’ Dramatic Society. Bros. Whitmore and Wood were elected auditors. Receipts for (die quarter, £74 2s.
