Mail! close at the Chief Post Offloe for the following’places (subject to necessary alterations) as under i THURSDAY, OCT. 23. For Northern Porta of Now Zealand, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m. Late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. FEIDAY, OCT. 24. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed by either of these routes only), India, China, Africa, and Australian Colonies, &0., per express train (to connect with Arawata at Bluff ) at 7.30 a.m. The mails via Brindisi will he clue in London on 15th Dec., and via Southampton on 22nd Dec. Note —On and after Tuesday, Oct. 21st, mails will close at Christchurch for Upper Waiau Perry and Hanmer Plains, each Tuesday at 6 a.m., and arrive at Christchurch from these offices each Thursday, at 8 p.m. BTDHET J.
