POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Malls close at the Chief Post Office tor the following places (subject to necessary alterations) as under i TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m,; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, Sydney, and Brisbane, per Eingaroonm, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2,10 p.m,: guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on October 10th, and will be due in London on 25th November. Note. —On and after Ist October the mail service to Spreydon. Halswell, Tni Tapu, and Green Park will bo a daily one, closing at Christchurch at 2.30 p.m. Mails from these offices will arrive at Christohnrch at 11 am. A Post-office will be opened nt South Malvern, at the store of Mr Griudrod. Mails will close at Christchurch daily at 6 a.m., and arrive at Christchurch from South Malvern at 6.40 p.m. daily. A Post-office will be opened at the school-house, Kowai Bush. Mails will close at Christchurch each Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, at 6 a.m., and arrive at. Christchurch on the same days at 6.40 p.m. A Post-office will he opened at the railway extension works, Wcka Pass, at the store of Messrs White and Co. Mails will close at Christchurch daily at 6 a.m., and arrive in Christchurch daily at 8 p.m. BYDHBY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
