POST OFFICE NOTICES.

Malls oloee at the Chief Post Offloa for the following places (subject to necessary alterations) as under : TUESDAY, SEPT. 23. For Northern ports of New Zealand, Sydney, and Brisbane, per Wakatipn, at 5.45 p.m. Guard's van must not be used for Wakatipu's mails. For Chatham Islands, per Wakatipn (to connect with Omaha at Auckland), at 5.45 p.m. Guard's van must not be used. WEDNESDAY, SEPT 24. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed by either of these routes only), India, South Africa, Egypt, China, Otago, and Australasian Colonies, &c, &c, per Eingarooma : Ordinary letters, 1 p.m. Late fee letters, 1.45 p.m. Books and newspapers, 12 noon. Eegistered letters, 12 noon. Guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. FEIDAY, SEPT. 26. Supplementary mails for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, via Brindisi and Southampton, (for correspondence addressed by either of these routes only), India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Australian Colonies, &c, &c, per express train, at 7.30 a.m., to connect with Arawata at Bluff. The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on November 17th, and the mail via Southampton on November 24th.
