Arawata, on Saturday night, had put in to Akaroa and was at anchor there, the Arawata having gone on to Port Chalmers without her. It appears that Tessel when outside was found to be insufficiently ballasted, and became unmanageable. Ihe two hawsers parted, and it was determined to put m to Akaroa until stronger lines could beobtavned with which to proceed to Dunedin The Bells has Buffered no injury, and was be quite safe at anchor and making but little water.
