Wanaka, for Dnnedin via Akaroa, sailed at noon. The Prince Alfred, for Picton, and the Clematis for Hokitika, sailed this morning. Several truck loads of goods on the wharf for shipment by the s.s. Hawea on Saturday night were shut out, very much to the chagrin of the shippers, some of whom were promenading the wharf for two or three hours, and until after midnight, hoping to see their merchandise shipped. The agent for the Union Company did his utmost to pre?ail upon the foreman of the wharf to have the trucks discharged and the goods shipped, but ■without avail, the latter stating that he had positiva instructions from the statioa-maater to stop the work at midnight. The barque Bells, in command of her former master. Captain Bnrch, left for Port Chalmers on Saturday, in tow of tho s.s. Arawata. THE BELLS. Tho barque Bells, which left here on Friday ni jht in tow of the s.s. Arawata, for Port Chalmers, had to put in to Akaroa, the towline being defective.
