THEATRE ROYAL.
The announcement of the benefit off Miss Beatrice and Mr D'Orsay Ogden drew a crowded house lost night at theTheatre Royal. The performance commenced' with a humorous dialogue sketch,, entitled “ Bailed Up, or an Hour with Ned Kelly,”' which was supported by Mies Ada Lester and Mr D’Orsay Ogden with much spirit, and elicited hearty laughter. This was followed' by a Variety Olio, in which Mr Lance Lenton introduced a Dutch song and dance, which war encored. Miss Beatrice was very successful in the well-known song “ Pretty as a Picture,”' exhibiting considerable burlesque talent. Messrs Fisher and Boothman each sang a character song, their efforts being also' rewarded with an encore. The concluding piece, “Minervap or, That Mother-in-law of Mine,” went remarkably well, the chief characters being very cleverly sustained by. Miss Beatrice, Miss Marie Morrel,, and Mi D'Orsay Ogden. To-night, “ The Streets of London ” will be produced, in which Mr Wybert Reeve will appear, supported by the entire company.
