For Northern ports of Now Zealand, Now South Wales, and Queensland, per Wakatipu, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Wanganui, per St. Kilda, at 4.45 p.m. The late letter box, guard’s van, must not bo used for this mail. SATUEDAY. AUGUST 30. For Otago, per Hawea. For Northern Ports, per Ladybird. The next mail for the United Kingdom via Son Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on September 12th, and will be due in London on October 28th. The next mails for tho United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), will bo close at Christchurch on September 24, The mail via Brindisi will bo due in London on November 17tb, and tho mail via Southampton on November 24th. Notice. —Only town rate of postage (Id per halfounce) is charged on letters posted in Christchurch, Sydenham, or suburban receiving boxes, for delivery by local letter carriers throughout those boroughs or suburbs.
