The Austrian corvette Heligoland brings a collection of geological specimens, presented by the Austrian Government to the Auckland Museum. The vessel eventually proceeds to Auckland. ADELAIDE, August 22. Wheat, 5s to 5s Id per bushel. BRISBANE, August 22. The obstruction of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly still continues. The House has been sitting without adjournment sinco Wednesday, The Assembly adjourned at one. The obstruction will probably be resumed on Monday. MELBOURNE, August 22. A fire broke out to-day fore and aft on board the ship Amyone, at Sandridge, lately arrived from Liverpool. The ship was scuttled. Great damage was done to the ship and cargo. In the Legislative Assomply last night a division was taken on the first item of the budget. The Government had a majority of four. Mr Harper has been returned for West Bourke by a majority of fifteen. An important modification in the tariff is expected.
