Tui, s.s., 61 tons. Holmes, for Kaikoura, Wellington, Boston, and Wanganui. Cuff and Graham, agents. The barque Sunbeam and the brig Emily arrived last night from Newcastle. The barque Lismore, from Clarence Elver, arrived this morning with a cargo of timber. The schooner Alert, from Napier, arrived this morning. The s.s. Hawea arrived from Wellington at noon to-day, and will leave for Akuroa and Port Chalmers this afternoon. After a smart round trip of one month and two days, the barque Australian Sovereign arrived yesterday afternoon, with a cargo of coat for Mr C. W. Tomer. Captain Berry reports Left Newcastle June 10th, carried 3. W. winds to the 12th with fine weather, and strong S.W. winds to Cape Farewell light, June 17th, at 8 p.m. On the 19th and 20th was in a terriilc gale from the S.W. When about fifteen miles off the Cape, a sea struck the vessel on her port bow, and the cargo shifted. The force of the sea was so great as to throw the barque completely on her beam ends. The same day bore up to Wellington, where the car <o was straightened up. No damage resulted to the vessel with the exception of a little to the bulwarks and galley. Left Wellington on Sunday last, 22nd, passed Capo Campbell 23rd, at 6 p.m., with a light westerly wind, thence strong S.S.W. wind until off the Hoads, whore a light N.N.E. wind brought the barque to’an anchor at 3 p.m. Captain Berry states that since leaving Wellington until just before making the Heads, ho was in company with the barque Sunbeam and the brig Emily. Both those vessels are bound here rom Newcastle. .
