DRAINAGE BOARD.

A special meeting of the Christchurch District Drainage Board was held at 10 30 a m., to consider the amendments to be proposed to be made in the present Act during next session of Parliament. Present —Messrs H. J. Tancred (chairman), J. Y. Ross, J. E. Brown, H. J, Hall, 0. R. Blakiston, R. T. S. Harman. Mr Cowlishaw, solicitor to the Board, was also present. The Board went into committee, and considered the Bill clause by clause. On resuming, the committee reported progress, and obtained leave to sit again on Monday next at 2.30 p.m.
