POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places os under, subject to the necessary alterations THURSDAY, JUNE 19. For Nelson and Westport, per Wanganni, at 1.50 p.m,; late fee letters, 2.10 pan.; guard's van, 2.40 pan. train. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, New South Wales, and Queensland, per Tararna, at 3.0 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m. ; guard’s van, 4.0 p.m. train. SATURDAY, JUNE 21. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies (via San Francisco). China, Japan, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., per Ladybird, as under Ordinary letters, at 12 noon. Late fee letters, at 12.30 p.m. Books and newspapers, at 11.30 a.m. Registered letters, II a.m. Money orders, at 11 a.m. Late letter box, guard’s van, 1.25 p.m. Lyttelton train. This mail will be due in London on Ang. 5. The next mails for tho United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will he closed at Christchurch on June 30th.
