ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

On Friday, about 1.30 p.m., a woman named Elizabeth Dawe attempted to drown herself in the lliver Aron. She was seen by Coni S»' Ls Cleary walking along the east bank of the river on Oxford terrace, near to \ ictoria bridge. Hearing a splash the constable looked round, and saw the woman struggling in the centre of the st: sain, which, at the place where she was submerged, was about two feet six inches deep.
