CUST.
On Wednesday evening last the Ranfiora Glee Club gave a concert in the Oust [all. Owing to the threatening weather the andience was rather small. The programme was divided into two parts, in the first of which the company sang the “ Village Chorister,” “The Gipsy Chorus,” and “The Three Chafers” in an able manner. Songs were contributed by Mrs Tribe and Messrs 0. Merton, G. H. Merton, and Good. The first and last of these gentlemen were encored. In the second part, the Rev, Mr. Morton sang “The Lighthouse,” Mr. H. Scott, “The White Squall;” Mr C. Merton, “ Sally in our Alley Mr IT. G, Merton, “ The Schooner on the Sands,” aud in response to an encore, “ The Waggoner.” Mr Good gave two serio comic songs, the second in answer to a recall. The company in the choruses, “ The Carnival, and “ Don’t tickle me, I pray,” were enthusiastically applauded, and had to appear a second time. Mrs Tribe accompanied on the piano during the evening. The Rev. Mr Hamilton thanked the company for their services. The repetition of “The Three Chafers,” and the singing of the National Anthem brought the concert to a close.
