The steamers Wanaka and Ladybird arrived this morning, the former from Auckland and way ports, and the latter from Port Chalmers. The Wanaka would sail this afternoon South, and the Ladybird to-morrow (Sunday) morning. The Star, brigantine, for Oannaru, and the Shepherdess, for Picton, cleared this morning. The barqnontine Lochiel, for Brisbane, cleared at the Customs this morning. The s.s. Wanganui, Captain McArthur, arrived in harbor yesterday afternoon from Dunedin, _ via Oamaxa. Left Dunedin 10 30 p.m. on 16th, arrived at Oamaru 6.80 a.m. on 17th; left 8 p.m. same day, arriving as above. She sailed North at 5 p.m. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Hokitika, April 19. Sailed—Ladybird, Wellington, April 18. The U.S.S. Company have chartered the steamer Omeo to relieve their trade between Sydney and Now Zealand. She loft Newcastle for Wellington yesterday, and is expected to arrive hero on Wednesday next. Sailed—Wanaka, for Lyttelton. Passengers— Mrs and Miss Bowles, Mesdames Morton, Neill, and six children, Messrs Appleton, Thane, Davis, Burton, Nilder, Weston, Northcroft, and Rev. Reid,
