The barque Mary Ann Annison cleared this morning for Newcastle, and the Island City arrived from there. , The s.s. St. Kilda, Captain Flowerday, sailed yesterday, for Wanganui. During her stay in port she has been fitted with a new shaft and stern tube, manufactured at the foundry works of Messrs Anderson, at Christchurch. THE s.s. STAD HAARLEM. Tliis vessel cleared at the Customs for Wellington this morning, and at half-past one this afternoon left the wharf and anchored in the stream. The s.s. Lyttelton was to make a trip to her at throe o’clock this afternoon, soon after which the Stad Haarlem would sail for Wellington with the Wellington portion of tbe immigrants. It is reported that last night all but three of her crow deserted. They are all foreigners, principally Dutchmen, and are said to be hire 1 at a very low rate of wages, compared with that ruling at present at. the port.
