POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : THURSDAY, APRIL 10. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian Colonies, per Wakatipn, at 3.15 p.m.; late letters, 3.30 p,m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. SATURDAY, APRIL 12. For Otago, per Ladybird, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2,10 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 2.40 p.m, train. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Hawea, at 6.30 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for this mail. For Kaikouru, per Huia, at 6.30 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, must not bo used for this mail.
The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on April 25th, and will be dne in London on June 10th, The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton will he closed at Christchurch on May sth.
