Thobarquentine Prince Alfred, Captain Schenkol, from Kaiapara, arrived at 4 a.m. yesterday, after a good run of five days. She had moderate and fresh northerly winds to the Brothers, and was becalmed there on Friday at noon. At 5 p.m. a moderate breeze from the 5.8. E., followed by N.E. and N.N.E. winds until Sunday night at eight o’clock, the wind then shifting to the W.N.W., and blowing fresh. Tne brigantine Aratapu would be loaded about Thursday last for here, and the Flora arrived at the sawmill on Sunday, the 23rd, to load for Lyttelton. , ~. t The W. C. Wentworth, Captain Law, thirteen days from Newcastle, with a full cargo of hardwood, arrived yesterday morning. She met with moderate weather throughout. The s.s. Wanganui, Captain McArthur, arrived yesterday morning early from Picton and yWellington. She left the latter port at 2 p.m. on4hd29th, and Picton at 2 a.m. on Sunday.
