This match, which it is intended shall be an annual one, took place on the Cricket Ground yesterday, and created great interest in banking circles, but as will be seen from the appended score, resulted in an easy victory for t 0 Union, the batting of Messrs Ootterul and Longden and the bowling of Messrs Morgan and Longden being too much for their opponents. The scores were—Union Bank, bU and 99 ; Bank of Now Zealand, 35 and 31. HAGLEY OAK LEAF t SYDENHAM YOUTHS. A match between the above clubs was played yesterday on the ground of the Midland Cricket Club, and after a very exciting match, terminated in a draw in favor of the Youths. Had time permitted the gam* to have been plaved out, the result would have been a victory for the Youths ,as they only wanted 5 runs to win, with six wickets to fall at the call of time. The second innings of the Hagloy Oak Leaf was a total collapse, and no stand whatever was made against the excellent bowling of Powko and Wagstaff. The howling of Wheatley and Lusk for the Hagley Oak Leaf was very good. Cant (not out) 20, Fisher 13, and Turner 13, played well for the i1.0.L.C C., Smith, 8, being the highest scorer for the Youths. The scores were — Hagley Oak Leaf, 51 and 26; Sydenham Youths, 42 and 31, with six wicket* to fall.
