Two steerage for Sydney, six steerage for Wellington. The s.s. Ladybird arrived 2.30 p.m. yesterday, from P*rt Chalmers via Akaroa en route for Auckland via East Coast. The purser reports leaving there 3.15 p.m.. on the sth. arrived Akaroa 8 a m. on 6th, left again 10.15, and reports having fine weather along the const. She sailed on her tnp North at 6 p.m., with seven passengers booked here for the Coast. . The New Zealand Shipping Company s vessels in port had their hunting flying yesterday, in honour of the arrival of the Piako. The vessel reported by the City of Quebec yesterday ns being seen off the Snares, and as the Cape Finisterre was more probably the Piako, several persons on board the latter vessel, having seen, when the ship was at the place named, a vessel with white painted bands round her masts, and apparently newly constructed or repaired bulwarks.
