After dinner the sth and 6th matches were continued. A few visitors arc in camp from town. The volunteers do not patronise the early and the late trains to or from town very «n*ch a* they prefer to remain in cfemp. The winners in No. 5 match are :—Marshftll-ChrUtchnn-h, 72 ; Coventry, Otngo, 71; Paynter, Kelson 71 ; Purcell VVanganui, 70 ; M. Bellinger, Wellington, 70; Hutchinson, Dunedin, 611!; Keller, Grahamstown, 6&; Smith, Dunedin, 68; A. Ballinger, Wellington, G 7; Buckley, Christchurch, 67. A protest "has been entered against Marshall's scores for firing four sightingshots, the rules distinctly stating that only two are allowed. The protest will be enquired into by the committee this evening, and is expected Marshall will lose his prize.
