Clematis, brig, 249 tons, Eapp, for Hobart Town. P. Cunningham and Co., agents. The barque Helen Angier cleared this morning for Valparaipo. The s.s. Albion arrived at nine o'clock this morning. She sails this afternoon for Port Chalmers. The Wanaka loft Akaroa at eleven this morning, and shonld arrive at Lyttelton this afternoon about three o'clock. She will sail north to-ni*ht-The Camille, Captain Craig, left Kaipara on the 16th instant with W.S.W. wind, which increased following day to a gale; veered to B.W. and moderated ; veered on 19th to N. and N.E., light; passed Cape Egmont same day; had strong breeze from N.E. and passed Cape Campbell 4 a.m. on 20th ; thence light winds. While the vessel was coming out of Kaipara harbor the captain found it necessary to heave the lead, and while in the act of doing so he fell ovorboard. He had the presence of mind to retain his hold of the lead line, the other end ot which was secured on board. His wife, on deck at the time, quickly gave the alarm, but before the vessel was brought to the captain had been dragged through the water nearly four miles. When rescued he was much exhausted. One of the vessel's anchors was lost whilst attempting to stop The splendid new ship Orthes, it is said, has been chartered by the New Zealand Shipping Company to load for home.
