DISTRICT PRIZE FIRING.
The district prize firing was'continued yesterday at the Cashmere range The corps which competed was the C Y. C there beinsr two members of the Christchurch troop, and eight of the Bangiora. Ihe firing was far from a high average, although the weather was favorable enough for the first two ranges, but rather too windy for the third. The conditions were—2oo, 250, and 300 yards, seven shots at each range. Captain Strouts superintended the marking, and the firing party was under the command of Captain Craig, C.V.A. The following are the scores :
