Mails close at the Chief Post Office (or the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22. For Otago, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wanaka, at 6.80 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, must not bo used for this mail. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Hawoa. For Chatham Islands, per Omaha, on Thursday, February 27th, at 8 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will bo closed at Christchurch on Saturday, March Ist, and will bo due in London on April 15th, The next mails for United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southampton will be closed at Christchurch on March 12th. The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on May 6th, and the mail via Southampton on May 12th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
