Mr Gould asked Mr Coleman, as a member representing the North Kowai district, if ho did not think it would be desirable to discontinue the services (now held once a mon h) in the North Kowai schoolroom till such time as the school may be removed to Springfie.d, more especially as, during the winter evenings the people most of whom live about fcfpriugfield, would hnd it difficult to attend from so long a distance. He said he personally had no objection to attend ; but as the congregation now was rather meagre, he feared in a few months scarcely any would come to the services. Mr Coleman said us there was a probability of the schoo being removed some three or four miles, he thought ic might bo as well to discontinue the services at present and substitute a children s lecture some day in each week It was accordingly resolved to discontinue, for the present, the ->orth Kowai services from Fob 16th, and ia lieu thereof to hold services every thud un lay at Am-a-rley morning audevening The Vestry then adjourned.
