Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the 'ollowiug places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15. For Akaroa and Otago, per Wanaka, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 2.‘10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports of Now Zealand, per Hawea, at 6.30 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for this mail. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Ringarooma. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will he closed at Christchurch on Friday, February 28th, and will be duo in London on April 15th. The mails for the United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southampton will he closed at Christchurch ou March 12th.
