[BBUTBB’S TELEGRAMS TO THE PRESS AGENCY.] Sydney, February 8. j Governor Robinson and Sir Henry Parkes, ( the Premier, have received telegrams from Sir M. Hicks-Beach, announcing the appointment of Lord Loftus to the Governorship of New South Wales. The cricket match, English team v New South Wales, was continued to-day. New South Wales, in their first innings made 177, and in their second 18, with the loss of one < wicket. Murdoch was given run out by the English umpire, but the crowd weie dissatisfied, rushed the ground, and play was stopped, but will be resumed on Monday. Melbourne, February 9. The steamer Kerangie is a total wreck. Capt. Everard, the mate, and four of the crew arrived at Gabo.
