Tntkhpeovincial Ceiceet Match.—An application has been made to the Mayor by the eecre'ary of the Canterbury Cricket. Club to proclaim as public half-holidays the days ou which the annual iuterprovincial cricket match, Canterbury v. Otago, is to be played. Ho definite answer has been given as yet, but there is every reason to believe that the application will he favorable considered. The Rev. J W. Inglis —This gentleman will give bis first lecture, entitled *' ben and Ink ISkct bos,” in Christchurch, at the Oddfellows’ Hall to-morrow evening.
